Descriminating pathogen gene origin

I wasn't sure where to put this, so this page seems like a good one.

In class we were looking at how to distinguish the pathogenicity of an E. coli bacterium responsible for "hamburger disease".  This shows you how to use the software.

Spider silk

I can't think of a better way to demonstrate evolutionary descent and the importance of genetics on the formation of a protein as well as this presentation from Ted does.  My thanks to Linda for sharing this!


The letters of the amino acids are highlighted and beautifully illustrate what evolution has to work with to generate a huge array of "tools" for the spiders to use!
